Classes are taught by dojo owners Karen De Paola, 5th dan, shidoin, in Aikido, and Alex Vieira, 3rd dan, fukushidoin, in Aikido and 2nd dan in Iaido.  Karen began her training in 1977 with Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan, 8th dan, Chief Instructor NY Aikikai and Rick Stickles, 6th dan, Chief Instructor Aikido Schools of NJ (ASNJ).  Alex began his training in Aikido in 1991 with Rick Stickles and, in 1993, continued his training in Aikido and Iaido with Greg O'Connor, 6th dan, Aikido Centers of NJ.  Karen and Alex continue to train in Aikido at NY Aikikai, ASNJ and various seminars.  Alex also continues his training in Iaido as a member of the North American San Shin Kai, under the direction of Roger Wehrhahn, 6th Dan and direct student of master teacher, Mitsuzuka Takeshi.   

Karen is currently on the instruction staff of NY Aikikai and is Director of Children's Programs at ASNJ.
